Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, registered Professional Land Surveyor at our office in Moon Township, PA with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience. This is a full-time, salary position, with a combination of field work and office work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have knowledge of all aspects of land surveying, and will be capable of the following: Performing survey work, including but not limited to the following types/aspects:
  • Boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way, transportation, and construction surveys.
  • Airports, local roads, interstate highways, and federal/state government contracts.
  • Local, state, and federal/out-of-state work sites.
  • Use of Conventional Total Stations, Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and associated software such as Trimble Access.
  • AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Open Roads software for data processing.
Performing QA/QC for survey computations, as well as drafting and design performed by staff. Oversight of survey aspects of civil and transportation engineering projects, topographic and right-of-way surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, construction stakeout surveys, and as-built surveys. Preparing, signing, and sealing survey and right-of-way plans, as required. Effectively coordinating, communicating, and performing work concurrently for multiple clients. Creating and maintaining positive client relationships. Preparing technical and price proposals for surveying work. Other business development and marketing efforts to further secure future work for the surveying department.
Requirements:
Professional Land Surveyor License(s): PA is required; WV, VA, and MD are a plus. A minimum of 7
  • 10 years of experience is required.
Experience working on federal contracts/projects is preferred. Experience with the Penn
DOT ECMS
system is preferred. Must be able to travel for project work, scoping, and oversight purposes. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must be proficient with Office software suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Must pass a drug screening and background check.
