Job Description

Purpose Support the Survey Department with project coordination, client communication, field oversight, and technical survey responsibilities. Assist Project Managers and senior staff with scheduling, staffing coordination, QA/QC review, and delivery of survey projects. Provide leadership and guidance to field personnel while continuing professional development and growth within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with management and coordination of survey projects to meet client scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Support survey crews performing right-of-way, boundary, construction staking, and control surveys. Assist with establishing existing and proposed right-of-way lines for utility and transportation projects. Read and interpret deeds, plats, easement exhibits, roadway plans, utility plans, and construction drawings. Coordinate with field crews, CAD staff, project managers, clients, and contractors regarding project activities and schedules. Process and review field data and survey deliverables for completeness and accuracy. Assist with QA/QC review of survey data, plats, legal descriptions, and drawings. Assist with preparation of project scopes, schedules, and manpower planning. Support training and development of field and office survey personnel. Utilize GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and survey software to support field and office operations. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination meetings as needed. Ensure company safety procedures and survey standards are followed. Qualifications Licensed Professional Land Surveyor preferred, or recently licensed / ability to obtain licensure in the near future. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Five to ten years of survey experience preferred. Experience with right-of-way, boundary, and construction staking projects preferred. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, or similar survey software preferred. Familiarity with GPS, robotic total stations, and survey data collectors. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a team environment. Valid driver's license required.

$115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
