Experienced Surveying Party Chief

Are you tired of being away from your family or friends while working on remote projects? Do you want to enjoy living in Austin? Our typical work radius is located within 100 miles of Austin and San Antonio and does not typically require travel or overnight stays. Our standard work week is 42-45 hours. We are located in central Austin and San Antonio and are currently hiring field personnel to perform commercial and residential work. Our land surveying firm, Survey Works has been operating for 10 years and we are looking to grow more over time! Currently hiring experienced Survey Crew Chiefs or Party Chiefs for our land surveying firm. These positions will require 8-9 hours per day working outside and carrying equipment while performing detail oriented tasks. Candidate will be responsible for the following: 1. Daily maintenance and stocking of work vehicle. 2. Calibration and maintenance of equipment 3. Proper use of GPS and Total Stations. Use of Trimble and Trimble products. 4. Ensuring all shots are properly coded. 5. Maintaining required accuracy while using GPS and Robotic field collection. Trimble Total Stations. 6. Learning crew chief systems and operating procedures. 7. Punctuality at both the office and while meeting clients must be maintained. 8. Maintaining client confidentiality.

Survey Field Practice requirements:

Familiarity with ALTA's, Topographic surveys and Construction Staking surveys, along with experience in both commercial and residential land surveying would be ideal. Various land surveying experience is ideal, but we are not looking for a heavy oil/gas surveyor or a per diem surveyor (considering this position is all local work). Field COGO functions Trimble and Carlson field equipment

MUST LIVE IN AUSTIN AREA.

All work is local and you may be required to come to the office daily depending on job site locations or other factors. We are located in 78741, you must be fine with this daily commute. Background check and drug testing mandatory.
