: Lead Field Crews as a Crew Chief - Direct Work, Capture Data, Deliver Accuracy Are you a skilled survey professional who enjoys leading field crews and producing precise, reliable results? Do you thrive in hands-on environments where no two project sites are the same and your expertise helps keep work moving forward? CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Crew Chief to join our Water Team in Georgetown, TX , where you will oversee daily field activities supporting water projects across the region. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong technical experience, leads with confidence, and takes pride in delivering high-quality data through teamwork and attention to detail.
What You'll Do:
: Direct and lead field crew members through daily survey assignments, ensuring safe, efficient, and well‑coordinated field operations in alignment with safety protocols and quality assurance standards Perform record research, construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, transportation, and utility surveys utilizing total stations, data collectors, and GPS Review legal documents, plans, and project materials to accurately plan and execute water projects Create and verify field sketches and field computations related to traversing, map interpretation, and layout
What You Bring:
: High school diploma required; Associate's degree and/or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of related experience required Strong knowledge of surveying practices, field procedures, and industry standards Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred; knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred Strong communication, time management, and team coordination skills with the ability to represent the firm professionally with clients and the broader public Ability to lift and carry equipment over uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditions Valid driver's license with the ability to travel short-term required NSPS‑CST Level II certification preferred; LSIT preferred

Salary Range:
: $34.00 - $38.00 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
