Position Summary As a Solar Site Surveyor at Fastrac Energy Services, you will play a pivotal role in helping homeowners transition to solar + battery storage systems. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can independently manage their schedule, deliver high-quality site assessments, and serve as a professional liaison between Fastrac and our homeowners. You'll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team committed to driving the adoption of clean, reliable solar and battery energy solutions. We seek candidates with excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for learning and growth. Reliable transportation and the ability to communicate effectively with our central office are essential. Key Responsibilities Efficiently manage daily schedules to complete time-sensitive site surveys promptly and accurately. Perform comprehensive solar + battery site assessments using a smartphone and specialized surveying equipment, then upload data in a timely manner. Coordinate remotely with Project Coordinators to ensure seamless project execution for solar and battery installations. Conduct thorough on-site evaluations, including climbing ladders, accessing attics, inspecting electrical panels, measuring roof areas, identifying battery storage locations, and working at heights on rooftops. Arrive punctually at customer sites with a professional and approachable demeanor. Engage with customers in person or by phone, clearly explaining the solar + battery survey process and addressing questions. Document site details thoroughly using a company app, capturing photos of electrical panels, meters, roof conditions, potential obstructions, and suitable locations for solar arrays and battery systems. Take precise measurements of interior and exterior areas to support accurate solar + battery system design and planning. Communicate effectively with the centralized scheduling team to align on project timelines and requirements. Work independently while maintaining high company standards and a positive attitude. Follow leadership directives and adapt to evolving project needs. Perform additional tasks as requested to support overall project success. Qualifications We are looking for candidates who demonstrate: Strong communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with diverse customers. Proven responsibility, accountability, and dependability in independent work environments. Excellent time management and organizational skills. A clean driving record and valid driver's license. Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment screening. Access to a reliable smartphone for photos, documentation, and company applications. Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces (attics, etc.). Basic knowledge of home construction, roofing, or electrical systems (preferred but not required). 1+ year of experience in solar site surveying, roofing, electrical, construction, or related field inspections (preferred). Physical Requirements Ability to climb ladders, access rooftops, and work at heights for extended periods. Comfort working in attics and other confined spaces.
