As a Permit Agent, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting permit applications to Local, State, and Federal Agencies. This position will work closely with the engineers and design team to ensure projects stay on track by lining up permits and expediting the process for all parties. Responsibilities Responsible for securing the timely preparation and submission of plans, inspections, and permits through various municipalities (DOTs, BLM, DNR, State Land, and National Forest) while acting as a liaison for the company. Track all pending permits for multiple projects through the review process and timeline schedules while effectively communicating each permit status. Supports the Engineering department by documenting and processing all plan revisions and coordinating time-frame requirements based on construction. Follow up on existing projects with appropriate departments and managers, to move jobs through the permitting process efficiently to meet deadlines, which include administrative duties. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with permitting agencies and third-party subconsultants. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-3 years of related in-depth experience of various telecom construction permitting to include State, Highway Department & Municipal requirements. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in telecom permitting practices. Effective people skills, able to collaborate with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company, through excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency and ability to utilize computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite, Excel, database, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and PDF applications.
