Field and Office Surveyor (Heavy Civil Construction Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en) . We are currently looking for a Field and Office Surveyor to join our team for a Heavy Civil Construction Project in Norfolk, Virginia.

• Estimated duration of the position: 1 year
• In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

Responsibilities:

Perform construction surveying activities in the field. Support layout and verification of roadway and structural works. Process field data and survey calculations. Prepare survey deliverables and documentation. Develop and update survey drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Generate stakeout files and coordinate models. Review design drawings and survey control information. Support quantity calculations and as-built documentation. Coordinate with construction, engineering and survey teams. Maintain project survey records and databases.•

Requirements:

Proven experience in major infrastructure projects. Proficiency with survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center). Proficiency with survey equipment (GNSS/GPS, Total station, Digital level and Machine Control Systems) Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in confined underground environments. Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and extended hours as required.

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am-6 pm (10 hours) (1 hour lunch). There is the possibility of working some Saturdays.
