We are seeking an experienced Engineer II who will be responsible for all aspects of network route engineering, permitting, drafting and relocations. Job Responsibilities Manage all projects to meet or exceed minimum specifications of Construction Policy, FCC Technical Standards, NEC, OSHA, State, County and/or City, and all other applicable agencies Manage and conduct QC/QA on outsourced contractor fiber engineered projects Track and generate reports on project status Coordinate in-house and contracted resources to meet customer deadlines, ensure efficient allocation of fiber assets throughout network, and resolve customer concerns Engineer aerial, underground, and inside plant facilities Research and acquire permits, right of way and easement agreements Manage fiber relocation projects Review and validate As-Built documentation from subcontractors Establish relationships with construction department, subcontractors and others necessary for successful project outcomes Prepare project documentation, maps and CAD drawings Other duties as assigned Education/Experience/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of Engineering and five years of related experience (technical knowledge of the industry, construction practices, and local governing authority rules for placement of telecommunications facilities) or 10 - 15 years of related experience Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable Proficient in GIS and ESRI software and AutoCAD Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Ability to write reports, correspondence and documentation Ability to utilize and/or interpret the National Electric Safety Code Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, professional documentation and construction prints Well versed in fiber optics and dark fiber applications
