STAFF SURVEYOR
We are seeking a Staff Surveyor with 5+ years of experience to join our Madison office to perform field data collection and CAD drafting support for a variety of environmental, civil, and survey projects. RESPONSIBILITIES 70
% office/30% fieldwork , to include: Fieldwork including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking Prepare and process survey data for field personnel Produce deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D on assigned projects including plats of survey, ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, Certified Survey Maps, and topographic surveys Operate and maintain equipment and instruments to accomplish related work assignments Assist project managers with tasks including scheduling and client communication, as needed Communicate work progress and work scope modifications to project team Most assignments are performed at a job site and may include some physical labor and environmental distractions such as changes in climate; physical hazards may be present
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred candidates will have: Associate's degree or an appropriate combination of education and experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Effective communication and efficient time management Accountability for quality of work, project scope, schedule, and budget Technically sound in the use of survey equipment and software (i.e. Trimble) Physical ability to walk over unseen terrain and lift up to 50 lbs Valid driver's license with good driving records
