The Sustainability Coordinator is responsiblefor supporting assistant project managers and project managers with the research and documentation of consulting projects. This position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas:
Typical Duties :
Undertake training to be familiar with building construction documents. Undertake training to be familiar with sustainability certifications, primarily LEED and Guiding Principles. Undertake training to be familiar with the management program, Monday.com. Complete templates to assist in sustainability consulting and communication. Review construction submittals for compliance with sustainability certification and communicate compliance issues to the assistant project manager. Research sustainability certifications and products to support sustainable certification. Create educational materials for building occupants. Assist with sustainability charrettes. Manage and complete project coordinator task list on Monday.com. Complete and compile credit documentation and fill out credit forms for certification. Communicate progress with assistant project managers, project managers, and certification team leader. Assist team as needed. Perform closeout tasks when project manager or assistant project manager completes a project. Update templates to latest marketing and sustainability requirements.
Qualifications :
Required:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in AEC field or 1 year working as a sustainability consultant with the built environment. Ability to read construction documents and specifications. Technical acumen. Proficiency with Microsoft Programs. Clear communication skills. Excellent task management skills.
Preferred:
Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability or related field.
LEED GA/AP, WELL
AP, and/or GPP Credential Experience with Energy Modeling or Daylight modeling
Physical Demands :
Ability to continuously sit, stand or walk. Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Work environment : Office, cubicle or workstation AA/EOE.
