Job Summary The Department of Agricultural Economics in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment seeks a highly motivated Extension Specialist in Farm Transition and Succession Planning to join its team. This role will lead statewide initiatives to develop and deliver research-based educational programs that strengthen farm viability, support seamless intergenerational transfer, and enhance long-term business continuity and risk management for agricultural operations. About the Role This position supports County Extension Agents by providing targeted training, practical tools, and ongoing professional development. It fosters strategic partnerships with agricultural leaders and industry stakeholders while contributing to program evaluation, applied research, and grant development efforts. Through these initiatives, the role advances innovative, high-quality, and responsive Extension programming. This is a three-year term appointment; a master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
