POSITION PURPOSE
The Sustainability & Value Creation Project Manager serves as a generalist project manager supporting sustainability and value creation initiatives across ISA and the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC). This is an execution-focused role responsible for creating structure, accountability, and coordination across a diverse portfolio of projects, partnerships, events, and research initiatives.
This position is not expected to serve as a subject matter expert. Rather, the Project Manager provides the process discipline, organization, and follow-through that enables technical experts, researchers, and organizational leaders to focus on strategic decision-making and content expertise.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of moving projects from concept to completion through effective planning, communication, and execution.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Project & Portfolio Management
Manage project timelines, budgets, contracts, deliverables, and reporting across the Sustainability & Value Creation portfolio.
Maintain project management systems that ensure visibility, accountability, and timely execution.
Accumulate portfolio intelligence that tracks project progression, key milestones, risks, investment levels, and recommendations over time.
Support the annual Request for Proposal process in which organizational projects are received for review.
Project monitoring includes tracking, reporting, and partner accountability to deliverables in project and research contracts.
Serve as the primary liaison with the administrative team on contracting, budgeting, and documentation.
Stakeholder & Program Coordination
Coordinate sustainability and value creation initiatives involving staff, university researchers, farmers, and industry partners.
Capture and organize farmer and stakeholder feedback to inform project priorities and partner engagement.
Track research deliverables and reporting requirements and support research translation and outreach efforts.
Coordinate Sustainability & Value Creation committee meetings, including agendas, materials, logistics, and follow-up.
Support execution of strategic initiatives and events including the Think Tank, Student Soybean Innovation Competitions, and other stakeholder engagement activities.
Organizational Support & Continuous Improvement
Facilitate communication and coordination across projects, workstreams, and partner organizations including work with communications team to develop farmer content and provide assistance as needed with consumer content.
Provide leadership with visibility into project status, risks, opportunities, and key deadlines.
Identify process improvements that strengthen execution, efficiency, and organizational impact.
Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience.
Bachelor's degree in business, project management, organizational leadership, agriculture or related field.
Five or more years of experience and/or working knowledge related to project management.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
Agricultural knowledge is beneficial but not required. Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Full-time exempt role with a minimum of 40 hours per week required.
Travel within Indiana with reasonable advance notice. International or out-of-state travel on a limited basis with advance notice.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time, stand, crouch, stoop, reach and move up and down stairs.
Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, crouch, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and lift to 25 pounds
