Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing and sustainability-focused organization, is seeking an Environmental Engineer 1 to join their team. As an Environmental Engineer 1, you will be part of the Sustainability function supporting regional manufacturing sites and divisional sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a self-motivated mindset, and a solution-focused approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:
$45/hour What's the Job? Support divisional sustainability programs, including Mission to Zero (Decarbonization Program) and Zero Waste to Landfill initiatives. Provide technical waste minimization and diversion support to regional manufacturing sites and serve as a sustainability resource. Engage with manufacturing sites on project charter development, resource allocation, budget management, and cross-functional team coordination. Develop sustainability dashboards, stakeholder presentations, business cases, and program progress reporting. Support life cycle assessments, environmental product declarations, and Scope 1 & 2 emission reduction programs. What's Needed? Bachelor's or Master's degree student in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental, or Sustainability). Previous internship or full-time experience at manufacturing sites as an Environmental Engineer, Sustainability Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Project Engineer, LCA Analyst, or in related sustainability functions. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, energy efficiency projects, project management, and tools including Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and a highly conscientious, solution-focused mindset. Fluent English and a current valid U.S. driver's license with USA-specific visa/work authorization. What's in it for me?
