Job Description

- and planet.
- Influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate delivery of Amazon's 2040 net-zero carbon commitment
- Lead relationships with priority research centers to ensure positive and effective partnerships
- Proactively look to increase external engagements beyond research, including advisory, publications, and speaking engagements
- Partner with marketing and communications teams to externalize partnership wins through impactful storytelling
- Partner with Public Policy to share research breakthroughs and resources with external audiences
- Evaluate risks and secure necessary internal approvals for partnerships and research collaborations
- Ensure visibility and progress of ongoing work is reported and communicated across teams Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- 8+ years of experience developing and driving the strategy and execution of partnership or sustainability programs
- 5+ years of experience owning academic partnerships at a corporation or corporate partnerships at an academic institution
- Proven track record leading global partnerships with high levels of complexity
- Experience delivering clear and concise communications and engagement plans from concept to completion Preferred Qualifications
- Sustainability, climate, environmental and/or social responsibility expertise
- Communications or marketing expertise
- Familiarity with academic research processes and timelines
- Experience working with and influencing scientists and engineers across matrixed organizations
- Outstanding judgment and exceptional social skills to build and maintain relationships across diverse audiences
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
