Job Description

Overview Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures. Salary:
$24.50- $26.50/hr DOE Responsibilities
  • Performs electrical and mechanical testing in accordance with procedural guidance using various test equipment.
  • Assembles and configures test setups, including preparing connections and fixtures as required.
  • Operates under the supervision of senior technicians or a Department Manager on complex assignments; completes routine tasks independently.
  • Interacts periodically with engineers, project managers, and customers regarding test progress and results.
  • Schedules and assists with internal calibration of department test equipment.
  • Gathers and records accurate test data for reporting and analysis.
  • Constructs and maintains test fixtures and laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order with minimal supervision.
  • Follows all safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe working environment for personnel and equipment.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety practices.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; college or vocational coursework in a technical field welcomed.
  • Ability to analyze and compile data from tests performed.
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts and procedures.
  • Proficiency with computers for data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and knowledge of electrical and mechanical fundamentals is a plus.
  • Hands-on skills in assembling and configuring test setups; electrical wiring experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with using electrical and mechanical test equipment in a laboratory or field environment. Physical Demands
  • Requires moderate physical force.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and over 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during testing activities.
  • Must be capable of performing periodic lifting and handling of heavy equipment or test articles.
