The ideal candidate will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, rewinding, repairing, and testing AC and DC electric motors, generators, pumps, and related electrical equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety. Key Responsibilities Disassemble and inspect electric motors, generators, and related equipment. Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures. Remove and document winding data from stators, rotors, armatures, and field coils. Perform coil winding, rewinding, insulation replacement, and varnishing processes. Operate burn-out ovens, winding machines, balancing equipment, and testing instruments. Test motors and electrical equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and motor winding diagrams. Maintain accurate repair records and job documentation. Follow all safety procedures and quality standards. Assist with shop maintenance and equipment upkeep as needed. Required High school diploma or GED. Experience in electric motor repair, motor rewinding, or industrial maintenance. Ability to use precision measuring tools and electrical test equipment. Understanding of AC/DC motor theory and electrical systems. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment. Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
