- 1:30am Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Test Technician to conduct HVAC test operations with high efficiency.
The role involves performing technical tasks contributing to the planning and execution of engineering projects, operating and maintaining chillers, and working with electrical equipment. Responsibilities Perform technical tasks that support engineering project planning and execution. Operate, inspect, and maintain chillers, test setups, and equipment. Work with electrical equipment, including 460-3-60 machinery, HVAC operation, and refrigerant handling. Calibrate laboratory equipment to measure pressure, temperature, flow, and electrical measurements. Select, connect, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems. Conduct loop calibration and configure valves for single/double loop setups. Operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate power management systems, VFDs, boilers, and valve configurations. Coach team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. Advocate for a safe workspace and champion the company's EHS policy. Report instrument failures and support preventive maintenance to enhance lab uptime. Collect and report test status, apply measurement techniques, and write test reports. Proactively resolve testing hurdles by consulting development and process partners. Essential Skills High School Diploma or GED Experience with hand/pneumatic tools, advanced shop mathematics, and precision measuring instruments. Additional Skills & Qualifications AS or AAS in a related technical field, Technical/Business School Certificate, or Skilled Trades Apprenticeship. Proven ability to independently lead/run chillers and report results. Expertise in loop tuning and drive test cycle/loop efficiency. Technical expertise in HVAC design and components. Understanding of close loop control systems and loop stability. Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Experience with medium voltage operations, including arc flash and lockout/tagout procedures. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role requires lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed, and climbing portable ladders. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is mandatory. The job requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. The facility is a modern state-of-the-art environment located in Mesa, Arizona. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ 85212. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
