Job Location San Diego, California Location of Position San Diego, California Work Arrangement On Site:
100% Position Type Full-Time/Regular Clearance Required? Ability to Qualify Level of Clearance Required Secret Supports the testing and basic troubleshooting of computer systems and software. Position also includes writing test procedures and reports, some domestic travel (1-2 weeks per year), occasional 2nd or 3rd shift testing, and performing other similar tasks to support the team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (•Essential Functions) Performs routine software and hardware testing of computer systems using provided test tools. Performs routine maintenance and upgrades as required. Follows established test procedures and scripts to validate the performance of software and hardware. Reports testing failures, faults, or inconsistencies as instructed. Records test results, updates documentation, and assists in preparing technical reports. Completes all required documentation, pre and post test write ups, and correspondence with test leadership. Performs basic troubleshooting of software and hardware issues. Assists senior technicians with more complicated test scenarios and special projects. Complies with all operational, security, and safety guidelines and procedures. Learn about our employee-centric culture and benefits here: https://www.colsa.com/culture_benefits Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent 2 or more years of experience in computer system software and hardware testing and troubleshooting U.S. Citizenship required and the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level General knowledge and understanding of computers, networking, or communication systems Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and pay close attention to detail Ability to travel 1 to 2 weeks per year as required (domestic travel only) Ability to work as part of a team Good verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of Windows and desktop applications Preferred Qualifications Prior military experience knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL) Understanding of personal computers and current Windows Operating Systems Working knowledge of Windows and desktop applications including word processing programs preferred Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Minimum Salary $28.85 Maximum Salary $30.77 Salary Type Hourly The salary range, if referenced, represents a good faith estimate.
