This technology will revolutionize High-Performance (HPC) and Cloud computing, as well as other industries where low power interconnects are critical like camera sensors, autonomous vehicles, and aerospace. Avicena is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California with a development center in Edinburgh, Scotland. The company was founded in 2019 by leading technologists from the optical networking industry with a track record of delivering breakthrough products. (www.avicena.tech) About the role: As a test technician in the backend team, your responsibilities may include being responsible for performing tests and experiments for engineers and internal customers. Test technicians also test new products and provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel. This technician will be a valuable part of the team, interfacing and communicating with engineering and function units across the company to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently. Additionally, you will provide process and product support to the organization and address production concerns and disposition of production material.
Responsibilities:
Setting up and configuring test equipment and systems Calibrating test instruments and tools Writing test procedures and documentation Conducting tests on products and equipment Recording and analyzing test data Identifying and reporting on any defects or issues in products or equipment Collaborating with engineers to improve product and equipment design Maintaining a safe and clean work environmentQualifications:
Associate's degree in engineering or a related field Previous experience in a testing role, especially diode electrical test is preferred. Knowledge of testing procedures and equipment, such as probe station, power source meter Ability to read and interpret technical documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team Proficient with MS Office, Word and ExcelSimilar remote jobs
