Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate test equipment for production assemblies and units. Conduct testing following established methods, procedures, and specifications. Assemble, adjust, calibrate, and troubleshoot production equipment and test systems. Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as required. Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions through repairs and component replacement. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing devices. Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with testing and quality standards. Record test results, maintain documentation, and prepare technical reports.
Required Technical Skills:
Test execution and operation of equipment such as Instron systems, force gauges, torque tools, environmental chambers, and autoclave washers. Mechanical assembly, fixture setup, troubleshooting, and equipment adjustment. Data collection, documentation, and quality compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Technical Support Duties:
Provide technical support for testing, production, maintenance, and process improvement activities. Perform testing and troubleshooting on mechanical and electronic components and systems. Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Collect, analyze, and maintain technical data using established procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of relevant technical experience. Technical certification, vocational training, or related education preferred. Experience operating testing and measurement equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of quality systems, documentation practices, and compliance requirements. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Medical device manufacturing environment. Product testing, validation, or quality assurance activities. Equipment calibration and process verification. Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality control procedures. Mentoring, training, or providing guidance to junior technicians.
Experience:
4+ years of hands-on testing, manufacturing, quality, or technician experience required. Technical education or certification may be considered in combination with relevant experience. IND_
