Test Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team. This unique position involves working in a mechanical test lab, focusing on testing HVAC systems. The role requires a deep understanding of HVAC equipment and systems, along with hands-on experience in testing and data collection using customized equipment and test setups. Responsibilities Conduct mechanical tests on HVAC systems in a lab setting. Perform testing and data collection using customized test equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment and flow loop systems (pumps and sensors). Perform preventative maintenance on lab equipment. Assemble and disassemble test setups using hand tools such as screwdrivers. Test valves and execute system operations. Ensure quality and accuracy in testing processes. Essential Skills Proven testing experience with a mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance. Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and test assembly operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with HVAC equipment. Understanding of electrical and electronics concepts. Mechanical experience assembling and maintaining test equipment. Experience in a lab environment collecting data with mechanical test equipment (e.g., torque drivers, micrometers, calipers, multimeters). Ability to take detailed measurements and observations and convey information clearly. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a temperature-controlled, well-lit, quiet, and clean production environment. The facility consists of production cells for building, inspecting, and packing, as well as a centralized warehouse that is also clean and temperature-controlled. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
