Job Description

Test Technician - Contract to Hire A growing electronics manufacturer is seeking a detail-driven Test Operator to join its team. This hands-on role puts you at the heart of product quality — setting up test equipment, running tests on production assemblies, and helping pinpoint smarter ways to improve test efficiency and coverage. $25-30/hr Responsibilities of the
Test Operator:
Set up test equipment according to provided instructions. Perform testing and programming on production assemblies per established procedures. Inspect electronic components, surface mount, and thru-hole assemblies, identifying component values and orientation using documentation. Support production with tester setup and debugging, reducing false failures and equipment downtime. Qualify test fixtures, equipment, automated software, and procedures to meet customer requirements. Review test equipment designs, test capacity, and data on a regular basis. Recommend and implement test solutions that improve efficiency, coverage, and product quality. Assist team members in analyzing problems and identifying effective solutions. Qualifications of the
Test Operator:
At least 1 year of experience in electronics manufacturing. Familiarity with IPC 610 standards (Class 1, 2, and 3) or greater. Ability to read and understand technical procedures, printed instructions, and electronic notes. Ability to recognize and identify electronic components. Knowledge of basic test equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, frequency meters, and signal generators. Understanding of ESD practices and lead and lead-free solder applications. Basic computer skills, including Windows-based PCs and common applications. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience with standard operating procedures is preferred. Prior experience with electrical assembly, maintenance, repair, soldering, or electronics testing is preferred. Test Operators Apply Today!
