Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Test Technician III will provide high-level direct support to Doble Customers and clients worldwide perform testing, trouble shooting, calibration and repair in house on a variety of Doble test equipment. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, self-directed individual with elite electronic technician skills and experience. Test Technician III will interact with all levels of management, Doble customers/clients and employees throughout the organization, both domestic and international, necessitating strong communication, high technical and customer service skills. As a Test Technician III at Doble you will be providing a high level of technical service to our valued customers. You will be required to make technical and quality-related decisions on a daily basis. You will be the go-to person for specific Doble products. Further, you will communicate regularly with our customers/client and be the face of Doble for these important interactions. This position is located in our Marlborough, MA office reporting to our Customer Support Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Test/calibrate new production Doble test Calibrate, upgrade, test and repair both customer-owned and Doble-leased test Record all test data and failure information in the production Assist customers/client with technical telephone support including remote troubleshooting of systems in the Provide full in-house repair, test, hardware and software upgrades, and calibration services on Doble test Fulfill customer sales orders as Make recommendations to improve quality or production test methods and Use analog & digital troubleshooting techniques and equipment to troubleshoot to board or sub- assembly Related duties as assigned by the Customer Service Train and mentor less senior test
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
High School, or some College (Associates Degree in Electronic/Electrical), or Electronic Technician Certificate
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Experience with electronic test equipment, oscilloscope, DVM, frequency counters, High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to proactively communicate status & issues to internal and external customers Ability to meet critical deadlines while managing multiple priorities Must thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced team environment Primary point of contact for at least one Doble product line Excellent written and oral communications skill Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Customer Service Technician II or equivalent Proven high level of system test level, trouble shooting and repair of power industry test equipment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
(Not Required): Familiar with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications Familiar with Navision ERP software a plus Experience with test, upgrades, trouble shooting and repair of a variety of Doble test equipment a plus Experience with nuclear industry calibration requirements for test equipment Experience with power industry high voltage test equipment a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
