$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Overview Ardent Staffing Solutions is seeking a Test Technician II to support production testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of printed circuit board assemblies in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for identifying defects down to the component level, performing functional and boundary scan testing, supporting test process improvements, and maintaining compliance with ESD, MSD, ISO, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong electronic troubleshooting experience, RF knowledge, and the ability to work effectively across multiple product lines. Key Responsibilities 1. Adhere to all ESD requirements and board handling procedures. 2. Follow Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on component moisture sensitivity levels (MSL). 3. Identify faulted components or manufacturing defects on production printed circuit boards down to the component level and submit for rework. 4. Read, interpret, and apply schematics during the troubleshooting process. 5. Test production printed circuit boards using functional and boundary scan test methods. 6. Apply RF experience in support of testing and troubleshooting processes. 7. Run software backups, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on tester control computers. 8. Identify signs of viruses or excessive fragmentation on tester control computers and clean systems as needed. 9. Support the production test operator training and certification program. 10. Assist with test engineering development projects as required. 11. Participate in test process improvements, test station efficiency improvements, and safety initiatives. 12. Create detailed test reports that accurately document test results and findings observed during testing and troubleshooting. 13. Interface with cross-functional departments and, when necessary, customers. 14. Utilize and enter data into the Clarity application to track yield and troubleshooting details for tested and debugged assemblies. 15. Comply with company standards and ISO procedures related to quality, environment, health, safety, and security management systems. 16. Train production test debug technicians as requested. 17. Support all corporate and site 6S objectives. 18. Perform all other duties as assigned, including overtime and occasional Saturday work when required. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 1. Highly computer literate. 2. Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills. 3. Clear and comprehensive verbal communication skills. 4. Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits down to the component level. 5. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and test analysis. 6. Ability to work on single or multiple procedures, products, and product lines. 7. Ability to follow established procedures while working under moderate supervision. 8. Strong attention to detail in repetitive and routine testing tasks. Education & Experience 1. Associate degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent work experience. 2. 2+ years of related experience, or a vocational/technical certificate without related experience. 3. Experience operating test equipment including but not limited to HP 3070, Genrad, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes. 4. Must be able to troubleshoot electronic circuits down to the component level. 5. RF experience is required. 6. Experience with amplifiers and attenuators is preferred. Physical Requirements 1. Good manual dexterity. 2. Must be able to handle sensitive devices in a delicate manner. 3. Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach outward and upward with arms. 4. Ability to sit for prolonged periods, up to 3 hours at a time. 5. Ability to read fine print on paper documents and from a monitor at a distance of approximately 3 feet. 6. Ability to conduct conversations at a reasonable volume from a distance of 4 feet. 7. Must be able to distinguish differences in colors. 8. Must be able to work under optical zoom devices such as microscopes and magnifying lenses. 9. Must be able to walk and carry up to 20 lbs. of equipment for 100 feet on a routine basis. 10. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis. Work Environment & Compliance 1. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. 2. Exposure to lead and lead-free solder, solvents, and cleaning agents. 3. Low-level sustained noise up to 70 dB from machinery and fan units. 4. Must comply with all workplace safety, quality, environmental, and security requirements. 5.
