REQUIREMENTS
N2/N3 Mechanical Engineering-Advantage Basic Safety Training (LOTO, PPE, Induction) Hydraulic or Fluid dynamics - Advantage Exposure to pumps, motor or rotating equipment Key Accountabilities Test Preparation Identify and select the correct test procedure, instrumentation, and configuration as per the pump specification sheet and testing schedule. Verify calibration status of all measuring devices before each test run. Testing Execution Follow the approved test procedure, standard, and client specifications (e.g., ISO 9906, API 610, or company-specific standards). Start and control pump operation from the Test Control Panel. Conduct performance tests at incremental flow points (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). Record readings for flow head, power, vibration & temperature. Monitor for leaks, abnormal noise or vibration during testing. Maintain communication with Artisan for adjustments during testing. Adjust discharge valves and flow controls to obtain readings at various duty points (e.g., shut-off, best efficiency point, and overload). Monitor test instrumentation and equipment throughout the test to ensure accurate readings and safe operation. Data Recording, Evaluation and Analysis Capture all test data electronically through the computerised test system or data acquisition software. Extract, review, and print test results and performance curves. Compare test data against required performance specifications and tolerances. Generate performance curves and verify results against specifications. Identify whether the pump meets pass/fail criteria as per design specifications or client acceptance standards. Report any abnormal results, equipment malfunctions, or deviations from specifications to the Test Bay Manager. Shut Down Activities Execute proper shut down sequence of reducing flow, stop motor and isolate system. Verify test completion Checklist and ensure test area readiness for the next job. Produce official Test Report with performance summary & pass/fail result. Ensure label of "pass/fail" is added onto pump. Quality and Compliance Ensure all testing activities are conducted in compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
