Job Description
The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical devices, including both sub-assemblies and finished products. The technician will follow written procedures and instructions to ensure the accuracy and quality of all work before advancing products to the next stage. This role includes troubleshooting non-functioning units, completing necessary documentation, and supporting the training of team members.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assemble electro-mechanical components. Use hand tools to perform assembly tasks. Perform functional testing, diagnose issues, and repair non-functioning units. Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics. Inspect in-process work and ensure quality standards are met. Work with computers and test equipment to program PCBs, calibrate products, and perform functional tests. Cut, strip, and crimp wires, as well as bond components with adhesives. Assemble lightweight pneumatic components, apply labels, and package finished assemblies. Complete documentation, including timesheets, router forms, and inspection records.Required Qualifications:
Strong ability to read and follow written assembly instructions. Proficient in using basic hand tools (e.g., torque wrenches, drivers, ratchets). Ability to read rulers (standard and metric) and calipers, and use a digital multi-meter. Experience working with electrical components, wires, cables, and PCBs. Ability to work with computers, programming stations, and test equipment. Strong technical aptitude with good communication skills. Ability to work effectively in team environments.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of fasteners, tools, and assembly processes. Minimum of 5 years' experience as an electro-mechanical technician.Environment & Working Conditions:
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods. Use of mechanical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, crimpers, etc.). Frequent visual attention with the ability to distinguish colors. #RAL Pay:
