JOB PURPOSE
Work with design/test engineers on building test fixtures, debug circuitry, test setup, equipment maintenance and/or perform testing.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Set up Dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing. 2. Perform inspection and maintenance as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction. 3. Rework products per company and industry standards. 4. Build test harnesses, loads to support product test as required. 5. Document and maintain records relating to work performed. 6. Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner. 7. Design and build engineering test fixtures. 8. Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager.REQUIRED EDUCATION
A.S. in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experienceREQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or a strong mechanical background is required; three or more years of related experience is preferredREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
- Possess a thorough understanding of diagnostic equipment and methods e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause
- Ability to read intermediate engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams
- Maintain necessary product records and documentation
- Ability to comprehend and use product/process component datasheets
- Ability to assemble and disassemble products
- Ability to maintain lab equipment
- Ability to perform mechanical work
- Ability to train an Electronics Technician I
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
PREFERRED SKILLS
1. Ability to solder 2. Strong mechanical aptitude 3. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electronic components 4. Experience in one or more of the following areas: 3D Printing, Electronics, Electrician/Electrical Contracting, High Voltage Electrical Safety, Electric motor repair, On-road/off-road Automotive Repair, Communication/Networking hardware, Computer repair, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, HVAC, FarmingSimilar remote jobs
