Job Title:
Test Technician Job Description The Test Technician will test, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic boards, units, and assemblies to verify functionality and ensure products meet strict performance and compliance specifications. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates with an electronics background or equivalent military electronics experience who want to build their skills in a clean, structured, and highly technical environment. The position offers training on first shift, cross-training on multiple systems, and opportunities to work independently on an off-shift schedule. Responsibilities Perform automated and bench testing on electronic boards, units, and assemblies to verify product performance and compliance with specifications. Test electronic assemblies to ensure they meet functional and quality requirements before release. Troubleshoot electronic units and systems to identify, isolate, and diagnose failures or nonconformances. Document test results, failures, and issues clearly and accurately for rework and continuous improvement. Support rework activities by providing detailed failure information and collaborating with technical staff as needed. Use standard electronic test equipment to perform measurements, diagnostics, and functional verification. Read and interpret technical documents, such as test procedures, schematics, and work instructions, to perform testing and troubleshooting. Maintain test equipment and systems, including performing routine maintenance and calibration to ensure accuracy and reliability. Follow established test procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines at all times. Work independently on an off shift while staying aligned with engineering and production requirements. Participate in cross-training on multiple test systems to support a variety of programs and products. Essential Skills Associate's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology OR equivalent military electronics training. background and hands-on experience with electronics and electronic components. Ability to work independently on an off shift with minimal direct supervision. Ability to perform automated and bench testing of electronic units and assemblies. Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic systems and documenting failures. Ability to maintain and calibrate test equipment and systems. Skill in using standard electronic test equipment (such as meters, scopes, and other common instruments). Ability to read and understand technical documents, including test procedures and schematics. Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail in a test and quality-focused environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience supporting or working with military electronics programs. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other technical staff when needed. Willingness to cross-train on multiple systems and adapt to different test platforms. Strong documentation and record-keeping skills for test results and failure reports. Work Environment This role is based in a clean, professional manufacturing and test environment focused on electronic products and systems. The facility supports military-related programs and offers cross-training on multiple test systems and technologies, providing exposure to a variety of products and processes. Training is provided on first shift, after which the technician works independently on an off-shift schedule. Third-shift opportunities are currently available, following a 9/80 work schedule. The typical third-shift hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with every other Thursday from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lititz, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
