Reports to:
Production Supervisor The Shop Technician is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, diagnosis, rebuild/repair, clean-up, and reassembly of our products. The technician must ensure we meet our product specifications and utilize the appropriate manufacturing methods and fundamental technology used to assemble new products or improve existing equipment. Shop Technician Role & Responsibilities Use hand tools to disassemble equipment. Test electrical values of magnets. Record test results. Rebuild and Assemble magnets. Test new and rebuilt equipment to ensure proper operation. Assemble and test our diesel generator systems. This will include installation of the diesel engine into the enclosures, engine harnesses and interconnecting wiring & magnet lift / drop controls. Move equipment and products as needed using overhead cranes and forklifts. Package equipment for shipment to customers. Shop Technician Role Skills and ExperienceKNOWLEDGE
Minimum of (2-3)+ years (s) of assembly, troubleshooting and disassembly experience is preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge required.SKILLS:
o Ability to use a variety of hand tools. o Ability to test electrical values of magnets via handheld Ohm and Megohm meters. o Ability to use overhead cranes. o Ability to operate forklifts. o Ability to perform mechanical work associated with small engine maintenance and repair. To include electrical troubleshooting of small engine systems. o Ensure we maintain a professional, safe, productive, and compliant work environment.
