6 Months with the possibility of extension Role Summary As an Electrical R&D Technician, you will support new product development in the HPE Aruba Networking lab. Your role focuses on building, testing, and troubleshooting prototype electrical hardware. Key Responsibilities Design, build, modify, and test prototype electrical equipment Rework and repair SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards Use tools such as Metcal soldering systems and air pencil tools Set up, run, and monitor environmental and regulatory tests Assist in writing basic test plans Improve technician processes and workflows Collaborate with on-site and remote engineering teams Experience Required Minimum 4 years of relevant technician experience Required Skills Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret schematics, printouts, and specifications Strong electrical and mechanical reworking skills Experience with hardware testing equipment, including: Voltmeter Oscilloscope Pattern generator Logic analyzer Ability to set up test equipment and measure electrical signals Preferred Skills Experience setting up network equipment Knowledge of environmental and regulatory testing Soft Skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving ability Good communication and teamwork skills Familiarity with Windows-based systems Simple Explanation This role is for a hands-on electronics technician who builds, tests, and repairs hardware prototypes. You will work with circuit boards, use testing equipment to check performance, and support engineers in developing new products. It suits someone with solid practical experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting.
