Job Description

Position Summary The R&D Technician (Electrical) supports the design, development, and testing of power electronics and electrical systems. This role works hands‑on with electrical assemblies, components, and test equipment under the direction of engineers, contributing to prototype builds, product validation, and troubleshooting activities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electrical and electronics principles and enjoys working in a lab and prototype environment. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Key Responsibilities Support engineers in the development and testing of new electrical and power electronic products Assemble, wire, and modify electrical and electronic prototypes and test setups Conduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis down to the component level Safely work with low‑ and high‑voltage systems (including AC and DC power) Use electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and load banks Identify, evaluate, and help source electrical components using datasheets and technical documentation Document test results, observations, and issues clearly and accurately Assist with validating designs against specifications and functional requirements Follow established safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized lab environment Required Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a closely related field or equivalent hands‑on electrical experience Solid understanding of electrical and electronic fundamentals (AC/DC circuits, voltage, current, resistance, power) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Comfortable performing hands‑on electrical troubleshooting Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices Ability to work effectively under the guidance of engineers in a fast‑paced R&D environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working with power electronics or industrial electrical systems Exposure to high‑voltage testing or industrial power environments Experience with prototype or laboratory testing Familiarity with electrical control systems, sensors, or embedded hardware Desire to grow technically and develop deeper engineering skills over time Why This Role Matters This position plays a critical role in turning ideas into working hardware.
