Test Technician Flexible Staffing Fort Worth, TX Job Details Full-time $25 - $28 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Computer operation High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Attention to detail Problem-solving Full Job Description Position Summary The Test Technician is responsible for performing electrical and functional testing on transformers to ensure compliance with company specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and safety by conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, documenting results, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine and specialized electrical tests on transformers and related components. Conduct final product testing before shipment to verify compliance with quality standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and test procedures. Operate testing equipment including multimeters, insulation resistance testers, hipot testers, turns ratio testers, and other diagnostic instruments. Record, analyze, and document test results accurately. Identify defects, nonconformities, and performance issues during testing. Troubleshoot transformers and electrical assemblies to determine root causes of failures. Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve product issues. Ensure all testing activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations. Maintain testing equipment and report calibration or maintenance needs. Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and testing efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. Technical knowledge in Electrical Technology, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred. Experience Minimum of 2 years of electrical testing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience testing transformers, electrical equipment, power distribution products, or similar equipment is highly desirable. Skills and Knowledge Strong understanding of electrical principles and testing procedures. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation. Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday. Ability to work safely around electrical equipment and manufacturing machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work Environment Manufacturing and production environment. Exposure to electrical equipment, moving machinery, and moderate noise levels. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs.
