The schedule is Monday-Thursday, four 9-hour shifts, plus a 4-hour shift on Friday. Start times are flexible between 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM. The latest available start time is 8:00 AM. Most team members take a 30-minute lunch break, though a 1-hour lunch is also acceptable. For example, an 8:00 AM start with a 30-minute lunch would end at 5:30 PM. We are hiring two Engineering Technicians to support engineers with electronic systems, product development, testing, troubleshooting, and technical project work. Job Duties & Responsibilities Performs engineering activities such as, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment. Works from knowledge, skills and abilities to generate conceptual plans based on discussions, notional diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or layouts to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Determines methods or actions to remedy complex malfunctions. Design, construct, test and verify test equipment. Qualifications Associate degree in Electronics Technology or a related field, or equivalent military electronics training and experience Demonstrates familiarity (typically 2+ years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position) Strong electrical/electronic circuit and component knowledge Intermediate computer software and operating system knowledge Aerospace equipment testing experience, including DO-160 testing, is a plus Strong problem-solving, prioritization, planning, and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working in changing or ambiguous environments Physical & Work Environment Requirements Manual dexterity and ability to differentiate colors Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Exposure to high voltage, LN2, power tools, chemicals, and moderate noise Ideal fit: someone hands-on, mechanically/electronically sharp, comfortable troubleshooting, and able to work independently in a technical aerospace/defense environment.
