Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. We are seeking talented mid-level integration technicians on back half (Wed-Sat) 1st shift to execute development and production integration and test activities of the Leo satellite in final integration. Key job responsibilities
- Integration and test of the Leo satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment
- Use precision calibrated tools
- torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Run functional and environmental testing on units, including some basic troubleshooting operations
- Use computer software programs for running tests
- Check and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment
Additional Requirements:
Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed.Estimated shift time:
1st shift Wed-Sat 4 / 10s (6:00 am- 4:30 pm).
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. A day in the life The Integration Technician II will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, quality and operations teams on both first-article hardware development and production hardware integration processes. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, avionics integration, electrical checkouts and environmental testing. In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to build the Leo satellite, ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis. Basic Qualifications- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
- 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
- Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
- 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment
- Experience working with
FOD, ESD
sensitive hardware and clean room requirements- Some basic knowledge of electrical, optical and mechanical systems, antennas, functional testing and/or satellite components
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
