Job Description
Cleanroom Test Technician Job Description The Test Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and verifying printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and electronic assemblies to ensure they meet functional, quality, and reliability standards. This role works primarily with circuit boards and supports manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams by identifying defects, analyzing failures, and documenting test results. Responsibilities Perform functional, in-circuit, and system-level testing on circuit boards and electronic assemblies. Diagnose and troubleshoot PCB-level failures using schematics, test procedures, and diagnostic tools. Operate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, and automated test systems. Identify root causes of test failures and recommend corrective actions. Rework or repair circuit boards as required, including component replacement and soldering. Document test results, failure analysis, and rework activities accurately in production or quality systems. Follow established test procedures, work instructions, and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve product issues. Support process improvements related to test efficiency, yield, and reliability. Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment. Essential Skills Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years of experience testing or troubleshooting circuit boards or electronic assemblies. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test documentation. Proficient with electronic test and measurement equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills at the component and board level. Familiarity with ESD practices and electronic manufacturing standards. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience in electronics, circuit board testing, and troubleshooting. Experience with tool usage, assembly, soldering, and hand tools. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr. Health, Vision, Dental, 401k. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Neenah,WI.
