Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Branch Chief of the Office of Traffic Management, a Senior Transportation Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent, a Transportation Engineer (Electrical) serves as the TMC Operations Support Engineer in the TMC Operations Branch. The incumbent is responsible for statewide coordination and support in the operation of Transportation Management Centers (TMC). The incumbent assists in collecting, monitoring, and reporting on the day-to-day activities of the TMC. The incumbent provides contract management, project management, technical support and development of software used to assist the TMC in incident management activities. The incumbent provides support on systems operation, performance, and reliability of an end-to-end traveler information infrastructure that is comprised of Traffic Management Systems (TMS) field systems, traffic control systems, communications systems, central management systems, and other traffic management and facilities-related electrical and electronic systems that utilize state-of-the-art technology.
