(KCA) has an opening for a full-time Entry Level Traffic Engineer in Orlando, FL. As a Traffic Engineer, you will support traffic plans production, operations modeling, analysis, and design while working closely with FDOT, DOTs, and local municipalities. This role offers hands-on project involvement and professional growth through collaboration with senior engineers.
Responsibilities:
Prepare roadway signing and pavement markings, lighting, and signalization construction plans Prepare Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Plans Conduct traffic capacity and signal timing analyses Prepare traffic impact studies, reports, and supporting documentation Collaborate with senior engineers and agency partners
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with focus in Transportation Traffic Engineering related courses are preferred 0 to 4 years of experience in Traffic Design or Civil Engineering EI certification preferred with the ability to obtain PE license Ability to analyze & interpret data Eagerness to learn from and collaborate with teammates Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and able to function effectively as a team member Knowledge of one or more of the following software packages is preferred: AutoCAD, MicroStation, Highway Capacity Software HCS, Synchro, and CORSIM About KCA Established in 1976, KCA is a privately-owned multidisciplinary engineering firm that has served the transportation industry for more than 49 years.
