A Resident Engineer with 10 years of construction engineering & inspection experience on highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects. Lochner - learn more about us Your impact: Plans, reviews, and assigns work of construction field office personnel including Lochner staff, sub-consultants and partners Reviews project activities with client and contractor's field supervision to resolve disputes and other project issues Read and interpret complex contract plans and specifications Develops quality plans and performs quality management. Read and interpret construction contract language Monitor Contractor progress and compare with reviewed Progress Schedule Review/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs and technical submittals Proactively manages construction changes and claims and work with client to resolve Leads construction meetings with clients and contractors Assist client and Project Manager with stakeholder coordination Work with client and contractor to manage construction budget and schedule Assist Project Manager with management of Lochner's budget, schedule and staffing Assist Project Manager to maintain client communications and relationships Mentor staff on CEI responsibilities and tasks Other duties as assigned Who you are: BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field 10+ years of construction engineering and inspection experience on highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects is required. Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Illinois is required. At least 5 years working as a resident engineer on projects with increasing size and complexity. IDOT, Tollway, and/or Cook, DuPage, Will Counties projects is preferred.
