Maine Department of Transportation Salary:
$22.08- $30.89 per hour ( Salary Schedule )
- Salary includes a 2.5% stipend

This Technician position will perform a variety of technical tasks in the field and office in an independent manner. The Technician will be required to work as Chief Inspector (or Resident) on active construction projects. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Monitoring and enforcing the contractors TCP, SEWPCP, and QC Plan. Assuring that work inspected meets the standard specifications and contract requirements and is tested as per policy and meets expected quality. Detailing, designing, and estimating quantities for Regional led pavement preservation or rehabilitation design projects. To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience: Five (5) years of experience in engineering- OR•an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering•OR•a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.
