We are seeking a Transportation Engineer with 3-6 years' experience to join our Transportation-Roadway team in our Eden Prairie office. In this position, you will support and learn from our transportation project managers in the successful completion of pedestrian, highway and bridge projects. This role is an excellent career development opportunity for someone who has experience in transportation civil engineering design and construction and is ready to grow in their next role.

Job DescriptionCollaborate with a team of engineers from project development through preliminary and final design of urban and rural roadways and bridges for local, state and federal clientsAssist project teams with the development of plans, specifications, engineer's estimates, presentations and technical reportsRepresent Houston Engineering, Inc in project stakeholder communications and general public engagementDevelop project economics analysis associated with benefit/cost, project value, budgets, and funding opportunitiesSupport professional growth of less-experienced staff through teaching technical design skillsQualificationsAn ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering degreeMinnesota Professional Engineer license preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in the design and construction of state MnDOT and MN CSAH highway projects preferred.
