About You We're looking for someone who has: A bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering; master's degree preferred 10 years of bridge design experience Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure required Preferred bridge inspection experience and National Highway Institute (NHI) Certification as a Team Leader; SPRAT certification preferred Experience with design of routine and major bridges as well as complex structures, including load rating experience Prefer experience with Alternate Delivery Projects Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, along with relevant bridge design software Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills Most importantly, you bring genuine curiosity, creativity, and a collaborative spirit-someone who wants to do great work with great people. About the Role As a Senior Bridge Engineer , you will: Design and manage bridge projects for public clients at the local, county, or state level Facilitate team collaboration and coordination, including project management, client coordination, and internal staff team building Develop scopes of work, project hours, and schedules; ensure plan compliance throughout design development Provide mentoring, supervision, and leadership to a diverse bridge design team, including remote and hybrid staff Plan, develop, and coordinate bridge engineering design projects with technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and executing assignments Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting independently on technical matters related to bridge projects Use industry-accepted engineering and bridge design software for calculations and project development Serve as a technical advisor to less-experienced engineers Manage bridge inspections for routine and complex structures, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate with team members Check accuracy of completed work and document quality control processes per firm and client standards Travel as needed to collect field data, review construction progress, conduct client meetings, and participate in public hearings or presentations Your work will directly contribute to shaping environments where people live, work, and thrive, all while growing your career within a supportive, people-first culture.
