CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Highway Engineer to join our Highway & Rail Team in Keene, NH. In In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in planning, designing, and delivering forward-looking solutions for highway initiatives. This is your chance to contribute to meaningful infrastructure improvements, solve challenging mobility and constructability constraints, and help advance modern transportation engineering solutions. What You'll Do:
  • Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports f various highway projects including roadway modeling, roundabouts, and signal design
  • Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff or technical leadership
  • Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard procedures and best practices for safety and infrastructure resilience
  • Monitor project progress and performance, acting quickly to resolve operational issues and minimize delays in critical transportation projects
  • Take responsibility for large portions of projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including field assignments
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
  • NHDOT experience preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:
