Job Title:
Infrastructure Visualization Specialist Job Description We are seeking a Civil Roadway / Transportation 3D Visualization Specialist to support a high-profile DOT design-build pursuit, specifically a corridor widening project. This individual will play a critical role in developing compelling visualizations, including fly-throughs and renderings, to effectively communicate design innovations to the GDOT and FDOT selection committees. This is a short-term, high-impact contract role that requires speed, creativity, and the ability to work from conceptual engineering inputs from OpenRoads. Responsibilities Develop 3D fly-through animations and still renderings of roadway corridor improvements, focusing on an approximately 3-mile stretch of interstate widening from 6 to 10 lanes. Translate Open Roads Designs and 2D plans, alignments, and engineering concepts into clear and visually compelling 3D outputs, including videos and still renderings. Create before-and-after visual comparisons, showcasing existing versus proposed visualization of corridor widening, traffic flow improvements, select interchange concepts, and high-level bridge/structural constraints. Rapidly iterate visuals based on weekly client feedback and internal design-build team collaboration. Deliver quick-turn drafts within 1-2 weeks, with ongoing updates and refinements. Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret evolving concepts. Essential Skills Ability to create 3D visualizations from 2D or incomplete inputs with rapid turnaround on fly-throughs and renderings. Proficiency in real-time or fast visualization tools/software such as Twinmotion, Unreal Engine, Lumion, CityEngine, or equivalent real-time rendering tools that accept Open Road Designs. Experience with DOT projects (FDOT, GDOT, or similar), roadway/corridor visualization, design-build pursuits, and proposal support. Familiarity with the Bentley ecosystem (OpenRoads, MicroStation). Experience in creating traffic visualization scenarios and before/after comparisons. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in creating 3D renderings and infrastructure fly-throughs or animations. Strong ability to visualize from incomplete or 2D inputs. Software flexibility with proficiency in one or more visualization tools, such as Twinmotion, Unreal Engine, Lumion, CityEngine, or similar. Ability to work with OpenRoads outputs (DGN, exports) or recreate scenes from 2D plans and aerial imagery. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality visuals under tight deadlines and turn around updates quickly. Experience working with engineers or technical teams, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear visual storytelling.
