EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Deliver Capital Improvement Projects with a primary focus on the Transportation System, but may also work on Parks, Stormwater, Sanitary Sewer, Water, and Facility CIP projects. Convey technical transportation and traffic engineering subject matter effectively to non-technical audiences, such as community members, City Council, committees, and non-engineering staff. Provide guidance to Project Coordinator responding to customer requests and traffic concerns related to traffic operations, safety, crosswalks, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, visibility, parking, speeding, and street lighting. Work closely with Street Maintenance Division for ongoing programs, traffic operations and safety issues, as well as maintenance needs. Perform traffic studies and complete plan review for private development permitting for transportation topics. Assist with transportation programs, such as safe streets and neighborhood traffic calming. Collaborate with the Community Development team on transportation planning projects. Schedule:

40 hours per week. Tigard is a progressive employer with a 4-day work (Monday-Thursday) week. Work schedule includes a combination of office and off-site meetings (some evenings) There is an opportunity for remote work up to 1 day per week.
