Job Description

My client is seeking experienced, senior-level professionals in transportation engineering to lead and grow our highway, bridge, and traffic practice areas. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our North Texas operations and make a lasting impact on regional infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex transportation projects (TxDOT and municipal) from planning through construction.

Serve as a technical expert in one or more of the following: highway design, bridge/structural engineering, or traffic engineering/operations.

Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

Mentor junior staff and support team development.

Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth, client development, and proposal pursuits.

Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).10+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering.

Proven experience managing TxDOT or municipal projects.

Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards, specifications, and precertifications.

Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
Preferred Expertise:
TxDOT precertifications in relevant categories (e.g., roadway design, bridge design, traffic studies).Familiarity with tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, HCS, Synchro, or similar.

Experience with business development and proposal writing.
Location & Flexibility:
Based in Dallas, TX with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.

Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or project needs.
