Michigan/Ohio (frequent site visits required; some remote work for reporting)

Full-time Lead on the Ground Are you passionate about building the future? As a Construction Engineer , you'll take the lead in delivering high-quality, on-the-ground engineering solutions for some of Michigan's most ambitious transportation projects. If you love solving problems and thrive in a dynamic, outdoor environment, this role is for you. What You'll Do Oversee and inspect construction progress, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards. Maintain detailed project documentation using tools like Field Manager, Field Book, or AASHTOWare. Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to address engineering challenges and keep projects on track. Manage quality assurance processes to ensure successful project delivery.
What You Bring Education:
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering.
Experience:
Non-Senior:
2-5 years of relevant experience.
Senior:
5+ years of relevant experience.
Certifications:
MDOT certification required for all candidates. FE desirable for non-senior engineers. FE required and PE preferred for senior engineers. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to adapt to varied weather and schedules.
