Responsibilities:
Performs engineering associated with highway / roadway planning and design including horizontal and vertical geometry, Microstation and/or OpenRoads 3D modeling, retaining wall layouts, quantity calculations, miscellaneous details, and final plan deliverables. Interprets and applies applicable codes and exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates engineering work involving conventional practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Must have passed the FE Exam; registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) is preferred. 1-4 years of experience as a civil engineer in Transportation/Roadway Design projects Experience with relevant State DOT and local county/municipality standards is preferred. Knowledge of PS&E Processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D Modeling software Some of our
