Job Description

A well‑established local Washington transportation consulting firm is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to support roadway design projects for cities and municipalities throughout the Puget Sound region. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands‑on design work, values community‑focused projects, and is interested in growing into a Project Management role.
What You'll Do:
Lead and contribute to roadway design projects for local agencies and municipalitiesPrepare design plans, reports, and PS&E packages for urban and suburban roadwaysApply WSDOT and local agency standards to deliver compliant, high‑quality designsCoordinate with planners, engineers, and agency stakeholdersSupport junior engineers through technical guidance and mentorshipGradually take on increased responsibility in project management, including scope, schedule, and client coordination
What They're Looking For:
Washington PE required10+ years of transportation engineering experienceStrong background in municipal and city roadway designExperience delivering projects across the Puget Sound regionProficiency with roadway design tools and local/state standardsInterest in project leadership and long‑term professional growth
