293434886 Job Description RK&K is hiring a Transportation Engineer to join our team in Seattle. As a Transportation Engineer with RK&K you will support public and private agencies on design and engineering programs throughout our portfolio. This role will support our efforts in Temporary Traffic Control and Maintenance of Traffic for construction. Essential Functions Perform a variety of tasks, including traffic engineering design plans and preliminary engineering design Support projects for all modes of travel including highway, bus, rail, bicycle and pedestrian in urban, suburban and rural environments Prepare documentation and design plans for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, lighting, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) Prepare technical reports and presentations Utilize traffic analysis/simulation tools to perform traffic modeling and simulations Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Zero (0) + years of progressive experience in traffic engineering Exceptional writing, verbal communication and presentation skills including public speaking Experience with Highway Safety Manual, Highway Capacity Manual, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and AASHTO guidelines Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months Preferred Skills and Experience Master's Degree in Civil Engineering Two (2) + years of progressive experience in traffic engineering Internship experience focused in transportation design/analysis preferred Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic and VISSIM (or simulation analysis software) Experience with Microstation, Openroads, and other design software Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) Other Duties This job description indicates the general nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under ADA). Salary Range:
38.50 - 48.00/hr
