Job Description
General Description Join our team as a Transportation Engineer and help shape the infrastructure that keeps our community moving! We are seeking a motivated professional Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will contribute to the design, management, and construction of a wide range of public works projects—including streets, sidewalks, bikeways, and other transportation improvements—working both in the office and in the field. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and supervisors who provide guidance, review your work, and support high-quality project delivery.
Salary Ranges:
Engineer 2- $79,210.30
- $93,996.50/year (CG 18, R08) Engineer 3
- $85,983.30
- $103,336.
Career Progression:
The series is structured to provide for career progression from Engineer 2 to 3 based on increased employee expertise and responsibility, independence of action, and experience in and knowledge of City systems and processes associated with the work.What We're Looking For:
Motivated, detail-oriented engineer with an interest in transportation and public works. Ability to apply engineering principles to support design and construction projects. Strong communication and teamwork skills with colleagues, agencies, and the public. Organized and able to manage tasks, schedules, and project documentation. Eagerness to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility.Work Schedule :
Monday- Friday, 7:30 AM
- 4:00 PM Employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
- OR•Two (2) years of experience in applying the following: Civil engineering design and construction principles, practices, materials and inspection techniques.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk on uneven terrain to make field or on-site evaluations to determine existing conditions for design, maintenance, problem solving and construction. Must be able to work at a sit/stand desk using standard office equipment. Payroll title is either Engineer 2 or Engineer 3.Similar remote jobs
